Best Buy sales dropped in December

If you thought electronic retailers were safe during this economic recession, Best Buy announced their December 2008 sales figures. And it’s not good. Sales dropped 6.5%, bringing in $7.5 billion in revenue for the month of December 2008.  In comparison, third quarter sales were down 77%.  We won’t know how bad Best Buy did in the forth quarter until March 2009.

I wouldn’t be surprise if video games are also affected by the recession.
