Best Buy to open second store in Metairie

Best Buy will take over the recently built and then abandoned Circuit City store in Metairie, La, New Orleans City-Business reports.

“According to Jefferson Parish Councilwoman Cynthia Lee-Sheng, who today announced the plans for the store, the opening will take place Nov. 13,” the report stated.  “Best Buy will give priority to Jefferson Parish residents in employment considerations at the new location, Lee-Sheng’s office said.”

This will be the third store on the eastbank of Jefferson parish.  The first Best Buy store opened near the intersection of I-10 and Veterans Blvd.  The second store is located in Harahan on Clearview Pkwy.
