With the threat of Gustav, all of the website I operate will be suspended until futhur notice. Starting tomorrow, all the websites will be forwarding to a special blog I will operate during Gustav. From everything I’m hearing, this storm will be worst than Katrina because the center of the storm is expected to make landfall somewhere near Grand Isle, which means New Orleans will be on the worse side of the storm. Some estimates of a 25 – 30 storm surge heading towards the city, including my home in St. Charles parish.
Whatever your political views about rebuilding the city are, keep this in mind. Gustav is heading to an area that has:
- No hurricane protection levees
- Had minimal damage during Katrina and Rita
