Google Earth finds lost city of Atlantis?

Man has searching for this lost city for years and it only took three weeks for the new version of Google Earth has supposedly found the lost city of Atlantis.

It’s unclear this is the real lost of Atlantis, however Dr. Charles Orser, archaeologist at New York State University, tells the U.K tabloid The Sun that is a “fascinating (discovery)”.

“The site is one of the most prominent places for the proposed location of Atlantis, as described by Plato.”, Dr. Orser tells Virginia Wheeler and Rhodri Phillips of The Sun.  “Even if it turns out to be geographical, this definitely deserves a closer look.”

Update: Google has released a statement saying the lines on the ocean floor are artificial caused by the map-making process.

If you have the newest version of Google Earth, the alleged discovery of this city is located at 31 15’15.53N and 24 15’30.53W.

Next up for Google Earth, finding where Noah’s Ark floated during the flood.
