The Baton Rouge Cox Cable market is experiencing technical issues that has caused some channels to disappear while others continue to work properly.

A representative from Cox Cable was unavailable for comment to us but a representative from Cox Cable tells WBRZ-DT that the cable outlet is aware of the outage and are “working rigorously to correct the problem”.

Most of the channels are that affected are on the basic and expanded side (channels 2 – 99). A quick scan on the digital side also revealed that some channels are effected as well (channels 100 – 683).

Even with the outage, some channels that are not working properly on the analog side are working properly on the digital side, especially the HD tier as WVLA is not working on analog channel 3 but is working on digital channel 703. The opposite has occurred on others like WAFB as their digital channel on 707 is out but is functioning properly on analog channel 7.

It is unclear when Cox expects the issue to be fully resolved.
