YouTube now in HD

YouTube, the popular video sharing site that was purchased by Google, unveiled a widescreen format several weeks ago. Some were speculated that the online video site would switch to High-Def (HD) and all signs are indicated that the service supports the HD format.

Only videos that were uploaded in HD can support the new format, so if you were encountering that all videos will be in HD, guess again. Here’s an example of the new Ghostbusters video game trailer. When you switch from normal to HD, you can see a significant difference in the quality of the video. The videos may not be in ‘true 720p or 1080i’ HD like you see on broadcast television but the quality of video is significantly improved.

Next on the agenda needs to be editing the embed code to be in widescreen format and start in HD instead of normal quality.
